Carrie & Jay

Love creates a special world for two people. Everything about it is enriched and endeared by kindness, gentleness, and care.
Carrie and Jay were married May 28, 2011, along the Big River in Jefferson County, not far from St. Louis called Lalumondiere Mill Rivergarden. Traveling across the bridge, in the town of Byrnesville, your eye is drawn upriver to a scenic dam & waterfall where you catch a glimpse of flowers hanging from a 3 story structure presiding over the rivers’ edge. You have discovered the historic Byrnesville Mill. As you wind your way through the open breezeway, you feel your senses awaken to the sound of rolling and tumbling water, a perfect backdrop to the sight of multi-level patios, fish ponds, and flower gardens.

Described as intimate, nostalgic, unpretentious, and with eclectic charm, the mill home itself – as well as it’s transformation to a one-of-a-kind venue for events & weddings – are some of Jim and Jeannie Lalumondiere’s proudest achievements, and reasonably so. This place is unbelievable, a photographers haven. Refreshing. In fact Tracey gives it 5 stars!

(please be patient — the slide show may take a short while to download, but this wedding is absolutely worth the wait!)

They waited their whole lives to feel this way. The perfect setting for Carrie and Jay. Surrounded by family and friends from all over. I met some of the most amazing people that day. And as I walked away at the end of Carrie and Jay’s day, I was sad to see it all go by so fast. I’ve met the nicest couples over the years, and I’ve made a few friends along the way. Carrie and Jay definitely ones we must keep in touch with. Thank you Carrie and Jay for sharing your special day with Love and Life. And special thanks to Tracy Kratzer for her assistance! We must do this again.

Carrie and Jay had the best vendors ever!
